When moving to residencies in this estate, most do not allow moving trucks inside, so movers in Kilimani park outside the gate, resulting in a very long carry.

Moving to Perry West Residency – Kilimani

Perry West Residency is one of the many developments along the intersection of Muringa Road and Elgeyo Marakwet Road in Kilimani. It is a modern gated apartment complex with 24-hour security and a selection of 2 and 3-bedroom apartments. Amenities include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, full backup generator, high-speed lifts, children’s play area and games room, and ample parking. The apartments are situated near essential such as malls, shops, and plenty of restaurants and cafes.

While the residence has spacious parking for vehicles, moving trucks aren’t allowed into the complex, so movers in Perry Wets Residency park outside the gate, resulting in a very long carry. Nonetheless, moving to Perry West Residency is smooth as the management is usually very helpful.

Moving to Silverstone Apartment – Kilimani

Located along Argwings Kodhek Road, Silverstone Apartment is another residence you may want to consider if you’re moving to Ring Road. It houses one and two-bedroomed apartments and three pent suits on the terrace floor. Rent prices for its one-bedroom apartments start from Ksh 110,000, while two-bedroom apartments start from Ksh 150,000. The apartment complex boasts many luxury amenities, including a pool and gym, secure parking, and a full backup generator. Apartments in this complex do not have DSQs which may be a deterrent if you require more space for your live-in house managers. The complex also has excellent access to essential amenities such as schools, restaurants, cafes, and shops.

When moving to Silverstone Apartment, movers aren’t allowed to use the lifts to transport heavy furniture, which then causes a long carry. Moreover, moving trucks aren’t allowed into the complex, increasing the carry from the gate to the house.

Moving to Skyline Apartments

Skyline Apartments are located on Marcus Garvey Road and offer you a choice of two and bedroom apartments with starting rent prices at Ksh 120,000. The complex is modern and offers residents a variety of facilities, such as a well-maintained swimming pool, gym, secure parking, children’s play area, and a full backup generator. The apartments, however, do not have DSQs which may be a problem if you require more space for your house managers. Nonetheless, if you have pets, the complex allows them with some restrictions, unlike other complexes in the Ring Road area.

Moving to the complex is easy, but you will need to use movers in Kilimani who are familiar with the regulations and requirements of moving into the complex. Make sure to hire experienced movers who can help you move quickly and safely. Moreover, the complex management will need to be notified of your move, so ensure you do that before the day of the move.

Moving to Capital Rise Apartment

Capital Rise Apartment is another option for moving to Ring Road in Kilimani. It offers one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with selling prices starting from Ksh 8.3 million. The complex boasts a range of amenities, such as a pool, gym, secure parking, a children’s playing area, and a full backup generator.

Moving to Chester Court Apartments

Located on Wood Avenue, Chester Apartments are a popular choice for those looking to live in Kilimani. It houses three-bedroom apartments that rent for Ksh 85,000 per month with a range of amenities such as a swimming pool, a children’s play area, CCTV surveillance, and a 24-hour security guard manning the gate.

Moving into Chester Court is pretty straightforward as long as you communicate with the management before the day of the move. Movers may, however, experience a long carry for houses located on the top floors since the apartments do not have a lift.

Moving to Kileleshwa – Ring Road

Kileleshwa is another attractive neighborhood located along Ring Road. It is renowned for its leafy streets, making it a tranquil place to live in. It is close to the city center and has excellent transport links. Property options in Kileleshwa range from modern apartment blocks to luxurious villas, providing a range of housing choices for those seeking a more exclusive lifestyle.

  •  Ngolu Heights
  • Stockwell Apt
  • The Village

  • Rumaisa Luxury Residency

A common theme you should expect when moving to Kileleshwa is limited parking for moving trucks and tight navigations, with most developments having management issues. Additionally, most apartment complexes have very short, narrow stairwells, which may complicate moving.

Moving to Moon Valley Apartments

Moon Valley Apartments is one of the best developments along Mandera Road in Kileleshwa. The complex offers two and three bedroom apartments with rent prices starting from Ksh 80,000 for two-bedroomed apartments. While it boasts a range of normal well-maintained amenities, Moon Valley Apartments also has a spacious lounge area, landscape garden, and barbecue area, perfect for entertaining over the weekend. Unlike most Ring Road neighborhoods, some apartments in the complex come with DSQs, which is a bonus.

Moving to this complex is straightforward, but you must liaise with the management before moving in. However, movers in Moon Valley Apartments should be prepared to encounter problems with parking, as moving trucks aren’t allowed inside and can only park outside the gate. Moreover, the bridge connecting the parking to the elevator bay is flimsy, requiring movers to take caution as they transport household items.

Moving to 58 Koibatek Springs

This modern development is located off Oloitoktok Road and has two- and three-bedroom apartments. Rental prices for the apartments are Ksh 85,000 and Ksh. 130,000 for two and three bedrooms, respectively. While these apartments have some very good amenities, they lack DSQs, which may be inconvenient if you have a live-in house manager.

When moving to 58 Koibatek Springs, movers in Kileleshwa may experience problems, such as long carry for houses on higher floors. Not to mention that the tiny lifts cannot accommodate most household items meaning that movers have to use stairs to move items.

Moving to Tabere Heights

Tabere Heights in Kileleshwa is a modern housing development comprising two-bedroom, ensuite apartments. It’s located on Tebere Lane, directly overlooking Kischwa River. Apartments in this development rent for Ksh 85,000 per month, which is a small price compared to the amenities it offers. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, high-speed lifts, a children’s play area, steam bath, among others.

Moving to Tabere Heights isn’t as complicated as moving to other developments in the area. Your movers will have a smooth experience – partly due to helpful management and the small long carry.

Moving to Kentmere Valley

Located on Githunguri Close in Kileleshwa, this gated rental community has three-bedroom apartments which rent for Ksh 170,000 per month. Its amenities include a swimming pool, gym, clubhouse, restaurant, elevators, and children’s playing field. The development is located conveniently nearby schools, shopping centers, hospitals, and other social amenities.

Since the development is located in a steep valley, movers in Kentmere Valley may require excellent driving skills due to meanders in the road. Other than that, moving into this development should be pretty straightforward as long as you communicate efficiently with the management.

Moving to Signature Residence

Considered to be among the most beautiful apartments in Kileleshwa, Signature Residence consists of three-bedroom apartments. The apartments have facilities such as a children’s play area, gym, swimming pool, a backup generator, and self-contained DSQs. Rent prices for apartments in this development are on inquiry, but prices generally start from Ksh 140,000.

When moving into this development, it’s best that you liaise with the management so that your movers can have an easy time. For instance, it’s best to ask if the movers can use the apartment’s lift to carry heavy household items. Additionally, knowing whether you can park the moving truck inside the gate will go a long way in preparing your movers for the kind of carry they can expect.

Moving to Lavington

Lavington is an upmarket neighborhood located on the outskirts of Nairobi and is known for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Moving to Lavington is ideal for those looking for a quiet living environment and those who value the convenience of being close to the CBD. It’s also ideal for those who want easy access to leisure activities such as golfing and biking.

For instance, moving to Lavington will give you access to amenities such as the Jaffery Sports Club (which has a rubber running/jogging track and is available for free), Lavington Mall, and plenty of hospitals such as the Aga Khan, Lavington Children Hospital and Maria Immaculata Hospital. There are also many international and local schools, such as Brookhurst, Nairobi International School, Muthangari International School, Braeside, Strathmore School, St Mary’s School, and St Austin.

Some popular residences in Lavington include:

  • Lavington Solo Villas
  • Woodgreen Gardens
  • Lavington Green Villas
  • Greenwood Villas
  • Belma Court Complex
  • Milele Villas
  • Venus Villas
  • Jambo Villas
  • Sunninghill Apartments

Moving to The Bricks

Located off Argwings Kodhek road, the Bricks apartments are another choice for those moving to Ring road. The apartments consist of three and four-bedroom all ensuite apartments that come with DSQs. It’s the perfect residence for families due to its amenities, including a kids’ play area, a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool, and a large parking basement area. Moreover, this apartment complex allows tenants to keep pets, which is a plus.

Moving to the Bricks in Lavington will require that you plan due to some hiccups you may encounter. For instance, the basement parking cannot accommodate large moving trucks, so movers in The Bricks will be required to park outside, resulting in a very long carry when moving household items.

Moving to Hatheru Road

Hatheru road in Lavington is a popular neighborhood for those moving to Ring Road due to its many choices for renting and buying apartments. Some popular residences along this road include Green Garden and Tarro Apartments due to their amenities and beautiful finishes. Green Garden apartments consist of three-bedroom apartments, while Tarro apartments consist of three and four-bedroom apartments that come with DSQs.

Moving to apartments along Hatheru Road have one distinct experience – long carry for movers. This is due to the long distance where moving trucks are allowed to park and the entrance of the apartments. Additionally, movers should expect strict measures while entering and exiting the complexes due to the high level of security. For instance, moving trucks are prohibited in and out of the complexes past 6 pm.

Moving to Muthangari Suites

Located off Gitanga road, Muthangari Suites in Lavington houses luxury three and four-bedroom apartments that rent out for Ksh 100,000 and Ksh 130,000, respectively. It offers amenities such as ample parking, a swimming pool, a gym, and a children’s play area. While the apartments do not come with DSQs, the management allows the tenants to keep pets such as dogs and cats.

Due to its high security and manned gates, movers to Muthangari Suites must liaise with the management before the move. Moving trucks may be required to be parked outside the gate, resulting in a long carry for movers to the apartments. While the apartments do not have lifts, the blocks are not too high, so movers don’t have difficulty carrying heavy household items up the houses.

Moving to St. Austin’s Gardens

St Austin’s Garden is a high-end gated housing development in Lavington that offers high-end 3-bedroom apartments and 4-bedroom duplexes to rent. It is conveniently located on Muhoya Avenue near amenities such as the Nairobi Jaffery Sports Club, Nairobi Jaffery Academy, and Lavington Mall. Moreover, these apartments have a range of facilities, including a well-equipped gym, swimming pool, a full backup generator, CCTV surveillance, ample parking, and a children’s play area. The asking rent for apartments in this development is Kshs 220,000 and 280,000 per month for three and four-bedroom apartments, respectively.

Moving to St Austin’s Gardens will require your movers to communicate with the management before moving. This is because the management has strict rules regarding letting moving trucks in and out of the compound. Movers will also be required to carry furniture and items through the stairwells as these apartments do not have a lift which can be very tiring.

Moving to Ring Road Parklands

Parklands is a popular choice for those wanting to move to Ring Road due to its location. Moving to Parklands is ideal for those who value the convenience of being close to the CBD and enjoying a vibrant and diverse community. Parklands is also known for its various housing options, including apartments, townhouses, and villas. Moving to Parklands also provides access to various leisure activities, such as golfing, horse riding, and cycling.

  • Haveli Towers
  • Muthaiga Heights
  • Taarifa Gardens
  • Langham Court
  • The Courtyard
  • Royal Residency
  • Muthaiga View
  • Iregi Square
  • Hira Apartments
  • Laxcon Court
  • Josh Heights
  • Forest View Edge

Some common themes that movers in development in Parklands may experience include restricted access for movers, long carry, restricted use of lifts, and narrow stairwells.

Moving to Haveli Towers

Haveli Towers is located on 2nd Parklands and comprises apartments and penthouses. Unlike most apartments in the area, the units are all ensuite and come fitted with air conditioning and other unique features, such as an alarm system and a laundry room. While you can rent units in this development, the management prioritizes buyers with buying prices ranging from Ksh 17,650,000 for one-bedroom apartments to Ksh 40,179,500 for three-bedroom apartments.

Movers in Haveli towers should expect restricted access, with the management requiring moving trucks to be parked outside the gate, resulting in a long carry. Moreover, while the development has spacious lifts, the management is very strict on how movers can use them to carry household goods.

Moving to Taarifa Gardens

This property is among the most sought-after residences in Ring Road Parklands. It houses spacious two and three-bedroom apartments, which rent for Ksh 130,000 and Ksh 150,000, respectively. The apartments, however, do not come with DSQs. Taarifa Gardens is conveniently located near amenities such as Avenue hospital, Parklands Sports Club, and Westlands shopping center.

As is with moving into other housing developments on Ring Road, moving to Taarifa gardens requires that you plan ahead with the management due to their rules. Movers in Taarifa Gardens can only park their moving trucks outside the development, resulting in a very long carry from outside into the house. Nevertheless, the management is quite friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to make your move as seamless as possible.

Moving to Laxcon Court

Laxcon Court is another popular Ring Road housing development. It is a mixed development with both commercial and residential spaces. Residential spaces comprise three and four-bedroom apartments with rent prices of Ksh 120,000 and Ksh 160,000, respectively. The apartments have an array of amenities, such as a heated pool, gym, a dedicated aerobics room,  a children’s play area, and an entertainment area for up to 100 persons.

While moving into this development, both apartment and office moving pose one problem for movers – a long carry. This is because lifts cannot be used to carry furniture. The building also has very narrow stairwells, making the move more complicated and stressful.

Moving to One West Park

Located right in the heart of Westlands on Mpaka Road, One West Park is another excellent option to reside in. Quite popular with expatriates and business executives, this housing development has state-of-the-art facilities such as a children’s playing area, two heated pools, a gym, two standby generators, and an entertainment area. The development houses two, three, and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses – all of which come with DSQS. It is perfectly situated near amenities such as the Sarit Center, MP Shah hospital, Parklands Sports Club, and others within walking distance. Rent prices for apartments in One West Park are Ksh 125,000 for two-bedroom apartments, Ksh 160,000 for three bedrooms, and Ksh 180,000 for four bedrooms.

Because of its location, moving to One West Park can be challenging for movers due to how busy Mpaka Road can get. Traffic can get very congested on weekends and peak hours (morning and evening), so it’s best to plan accordingly. Moreover, moving trucks aren’t allowed into the complex, which makes the carry for movers a bit long and quite tiring.
